Collision Repair Technician

Job Description

  • Experienced Auto Body Technician needed to repair vehicles thoroughly, safely, and profitably in a manner consistent with L&M S.O.P., insurance partners and industry guidelines/standards. Auto Collision experience is required.

Requirements

  • Complete dis-assembly of vehicle to assist Service Advisors in assessing damage to prepare a 100% Repair Plan
  • Must be trained to analyze, assess and fix damaged vehicles.
  • The work includes repairing, replacing and refinishing outer body parts.
  • Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards; Wash and prepare vehicles for customer return
  • Comply with all L&M safety rules, guidelines, and standards
  • ICAR Certification

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Position is based in a normal shop environment.
  • Daily activity may consist of: physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect repairs, lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds as well as sitting and standing for extended periods of time during the estimating and disassembly process. 
  • The working environment consists of; exposure to fumes, chemicals and dust, along with high levels of noise and subjectivity to weather conditions both inside and outside. In addition, a regular exposure to work near mechanical parts.
